What Nani does
Nani – Baby Monitor turns two phones into a live baby monitor: one stays with the child as the camera, while the other acts as the parent monitor. It sends live video and audio over Wi-Fi or mobile data, making it useful at home, while travelling, or as a backup for a dedicated monitor.
Monitoring features
The app can alert you when it detects sound or motion, so you do not need to keep the video open continuously. Two-way communication lets you speak to your child from the monitor. Picture-in-picture keeps the live feed visible while you use other apps, and the camera device can be protected from accidental closure.
Nani supports video quality from SD through 4K UHD when the devices and connection allow it. It also includes sleep videos and lullabies, with support for your own audio or video recordings. Android users can remotely start the baby camera, including when that device is locked.
Remote access and privacy
Parents can connect multiple monitor devices and baby cameras for different rooms, children, or caregivers. The service also supports viewing through iOS, a web browser on a PC, and Android TV. Optional cloud events save photos or short clips triggered by detected activity; stored events are automatically deleted after 30 days and can be removed manually.
Live streams are encrypted and are not stored by default. Nani states that it contains no advertising and does not track users for advertising purposes.
